Ejections

I worked an American Legion Game where the manager was ejected. He sat in the stands and I allowed it. He then started talking to the assistant manager about changes as he moved from the top bleacher to the bottom seat. I did not notice. I told him he was ejected and to leave the playing field. He did. Later he came back in street clothes. He told me he thought it was ok as he was not in uniform. I informed him to leave the ball park. He finally did. If I would have made sure he left the ball park (out of sight and sound), I would have saved myself the trouble from the beginning. Had I adhered to the strict interpretation of the rule, I would have avoided the problem. If you eject someone do not cut them any slack. They will take advantage of you. Nip problems in the bud.
